View DetailsCommon Myths vs Real Facts About Gambling
Understand how games actually work so you can play smarter and more responsibly.
A slot that hasn't paid out in a long time is "due" for a win
Real FactEvery slot spin is independent of the others. Slot outcomes are controlled by a Random Number Generator (RNG), meaning past results have no direct bearing on the next spin. The concept of being "due" for a win does not exist in a fair game.
A losing streak means a win is coming soon
Real FactThis is known as the "Gambler's Fallacy" — the belief that a series of losses increases the probability of winning. In reality, every spin has the same probability regardless of previous results.
There is a "guaranteed winning" system for baccarat
Real FactNo betting system can overcome the house edge in the long run. Strategies like Martingale may work in the short term but remain exposed to the risk of large losses once your bankroll runs out.
Depositing more increases your chances of winning
Real FactThe deposit amount does not change a game's RTP or probability. Larger bets mean greater potential winnings but also an equally greater risk of loss. Set a budget limit before you play.
New players are luckier and win more easily
Real FactGame outcomes are not influenced by how new or old an account is. Audited RNG ensures fair results for all players regardless of their account status.
Certain playing times (night or early morning) are luckier
Real FactGame servers operate 24/7 with an RNG that does not change based on time. There are no "lucky hours" or time patterns that alter the odds in an audited game. 🎯 Remember: gambling is entertainment for adults aged 21 and above.
Play Smart and Responsibly
ong918 is committed to ensuring all players have a safe experience. We provide a range of management tools you can use to control your playing activity.
Daily / Weekly Deposit Limit
Set a deposit limit to control your spending. This limit takes effect immediately and can only be lowered straight away.
Session Time Limit
Set time reminders so you are aware of how long you have been playing in a session. Regular breaks help you make calmer decisions.
Temporary Account Break
Choose a break period ranging from 24 hours to several weeks. During the break, your account cannot be used to play or make deposits.
Self-Exclusion
If you feel you need a longer break, the self-exclusion feature lets you close your account temporarily or permanently.
In Malaysia, all casino-type gambling activities require players to be at least 21 years old. ong918 carries out age verification as part of its KYC (Know Your Customer) process to protect younger individuals from exposure to gambling.
If you or someone you know is experiencing problems related to gambling, seek help from a professional. Support is available around you — you do not have to face this alone.
